More marriages, fewer divorces, in Monaco

Almost twice as many births took place in Monaco in 2017 as the number of deaths, with 958 births and 490 deaths recorded. Two hundred and fifty-eight births were to Monaco residents, and 700 to non-residents.

The Monaco City Council said that the favourite names for girls were Victoria, Alice, Léa, Sofia, Emma and Giulia, and for boys: Nolan, Ethan, Lucas, Hugo, Lorenzo and Raphael.
